Now Amazon starts selling Cornflakes
E-Commerce behemoth Amazon is now selling groceries online as it continues to expand beyond books and DVDs
Amazon has placed approximately 10,000 grocery items on its US web site as the etail giant moves even further beyond its familiar territory of books, DVDs and games.
The company says it will only be selling non-perishable goods for the time being, such as cereals and canned foods. Brands listed include Kelloggs, Liptons and Duracell.
"We don't sell perishable items such as milk, fresh meat or peaches, because we can't ship these for free," states Amazon.
The grocery section is currently in its beta stage as Amazon tests the concept before a full launch.
